Franklin Porcelainbirds Vases

Magic II much love to give Juan Moreno Restaurant

Steven Wilson (Member and soul mater of Porcupine Tree) is preparing its first full solo album, called Insurgentes. The album title comes from the Avenida de los Insurgentes, the longest avenue in Mexico City, where part of the album was recorded.
But naming this work as an album would be a mistake. It is also a documentary film, a musical road movie

that tracks the creation of this album alone. It is a portrait of an artist who works in the music for her sake and not for fame or fortune. Steven Wilson known for his perseverance in making art in their own terms, in a world where the mentality of wear-and-shoot is becoming the general trend.
"My fear is this, that the current generation of children who are born into this information revolution, growing with the internet, mobiles, iPods, the culture of online downloading," American Idol ", reality shows , prescription drugs, PlayStations ... all that sort of thing that distracts people from what is important about life, which is to develop curiosity to know is out there " - (Steven Wilson, MTV News)

The album, itself, is one of the most creative, emotional, and many of those who form the career of Steven Wilson, incluyedo full range of styles from ballads would sound more subtle to purely industrial, with everything that can bring different contributions both old acquaintances and new friends. Here you can will delight with two of the trailers for this film, which is still in post-production and is scheduled to be broadcast in many festivals throughout the spring of 2009. Already in these trailers you can see the great collaboration in the picture
Lasse Hoile, Porcupine Tree's official photographer and close friend of Steven Wilson.

This new album will be released in two limited editions: a double CD with a DVD-A or 4 vinyl 10 ", both editions with a hardcover book. for 2009 will be released a CD version for mass distribution.
